THE OGDEN HOUSE teen shelter serves children under 18 that are temporarily displaced from their families or are deemed a child in need of services. Youth may come to The Ogden House via: referrals from the Juvenile Probation Office, families, and youth that have gone to a SAFE PLACE site.
Youth residents participate in life skills training including chores, cooking, budgeting, and other independent living skills. The children also volunteer and perform community service work while in the program and attend public schools to continue their education. Youth will also receive counseling, and crisis management. We strive to maintain a home that has a structured home-like atmosphere so that the youth will be able to easily transition back with their families. This program accepts referrals from the Juvenile Probation Office and families.
